Stanislaw Zoladz, born in Poland in 1952, moved to Sweden after completing his art education at the Art Academy in Krakow in 1978. Since then he has been active as a full-time artist in Sweden.  He’s participating in many international exhibitions over the world. He has been recognised as “master of watercolours “ after years of painting and many prizes in international competitions.  Stanislaw’s words about his art:  "Nature has always been my source of inspiration, it dominates my works. In the summer I paint in the archipelago. I wait for the sun's reflections on wet rocks, catch shadows, reflections in water and paint stones under the water's surface.   My paintings do not provoke, they lack a direct message, they do not depict the present, but they should make the viewer stop and reflect. I only paint when I myself experience something that touches me and that is the feeling I want to pass on to the viewer"

Andy Evansen AWS, NWS, USA

Εικόνα
Andy Evansen’s career in art started as a medical illustrator in Minneapolis, creating artwork for medical device companies, textbooks and surgeons.  That industry became dependent on digital art in the early 1990s, and he longed for a return to fine art and began watercolor painting.   Choosing a ‘style’ was not difficult, as Andy was always inspired by the representational yet impressionistic watercolor paintings of British artists Trevor Chamberlain, David Curtis, and Ed Seago among others.  He found himself attempting to capture the landscape with the same economy of brushstroke, taking advantage of the luminosity of watercolors done in just a few washes.  In addition, he was impressed with the way those artists seemed to capture everyday scenes in such a way that revealed a hidden beauty, subjects that many would simply pass by.  This appealed to Andy as he grew up in the rural Midwest of the United States, far from the large, bustling cities of the ea...

As an experienced artist, it's important to me to stay current and relevant.  This is why I was  honored to have been invited to be a  part of FabrianoInAcquarello, 2020-2023, a meeting place for the international watercolor community. I attended watercolor demonstrations,  meetings and painted with these artists. This is one of the most comprehensive  and fulfilling watercolor events I've ever been a part of. Over 1400 of us were included in an exhibition that was on display so visitors could enjoy seeing each artist's original watercolor representing their home country. It is a community of friendship, sharing knowledge trough demonstrations, working towards the same goals through our  world of watercolor.  I am a lifelong resident of Mississippi. Growing up in the Mississippi has had an influence on my art, but it does not define my work. Wherever I travel, throughout the United States or abroad, every place has an influence on my art. How can it no...
